Happy Gilmore remains a cult classic for fans of Adam Sandler and is arguably his best movie to date. The movie featured the titular character played by Sandler, who beat his arch-nemesis Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher McDonald, in golf.
It was recently the 25th anniversary of the movie and Adam Sandler did something interesting. He recently took to Twitter and uploaded a clip of him re-enacting his iconic golf swing from the movie.
In the clip, Sandler explained it was the first time he had taken the tried and true three-step approach to hit a tee shot in twenty-five years. Sandler successfully pulled off his iconic swing once again, making it clear Sandler hasn’t lost a step.
Sandler also took shots at McGavin during the video. Before hitting the shot, Sandler said: “Shooter McGavin, this is for you.” After Sandler pulled off the swing, he said the following:
“I’m not lying to you. That is smashed. Smashed. That went pretty well. You’re dead, Shooter!”
The movie remains a favorite among fans and it was certainly great to see Sandler pay tribute to it.
