The Baltimore Police Department released footage from the body cam regarding the shootout that took place in January inside a Compare Foods supermarket.
As seen in the video below, two police officers arrive at the supermarket as bystanders inform the police that the security guard is walking around while brandishing his handgun. Suddenly, shots were fired and the police could be seen heading for cover.
One of the officers managed to return fire and then made his way up a flight of stairs to discover a room that was filled with workers who feared for their lives.
According to the police, a 20-year old man was shot in the arm during the gunfight. In the meantime, the security guard, later identified as 34-year-old Dontae Green, fled through a back door.
A week after the incident U.S. Marshals managed to find Green and another shootout took place. This time, Green was shot and killed.
