Demi Lavato is well-known for her career as a singer and actress. However, her personal life has been nothing short of hell, as she had severe issues with drug addiction. It seems she is still feeling the affects of her actions.
Demi Lavato almost lost her life in 2018 as she overdosed on drugs. Fans were very concerned for her well-being but thankfully, Lavato pulled through.
Lavato has been struggling with her addiction problems for many years and now it seems a new documentary series will be covering Lavato’s life.
The docuseries titled Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil will be taking a deeper look into the 2018 drug overdose that nearly cost Lovato her life. Viewers will be able to see all the hardships she went through after Lovato was discharged from the hospital and the effects it had on her physically.
Lavato recently appeared on the Television Critics Association panel, where she revealed how the near-fatal drug overdose took its toll on her body.
“I was left with brain damage, and I still deal with the effects of that today,” said Lovato. “I don’t drive a car, because I have blind spots on my vision and I also for a long time had a really hard time reading. It was a big deal when I was able to read out of a book, which was like two months later because my vision was so blurry.”
The trailer for the docuseries revealed more details of what she went through, including three strokes and a heart attack.
“I dealt with a lot of the repercussions and I feel like they are still there to remind me of what could happen if I ever get in a dark place again,” she added while on the panel. “I’m grateful for those reminders, but I’m so grateful that I was someone that didn’t have to do a lot of rehabbing. The rehabbing came on the emotional side.”
The series is set to release on YouTube on March 23, 2021. There is no doubt several fans of Lovato will be watching the docuseries.
