American rapper Meek Mill is currently in hot water after a track that features Lil Baby has made its way online.
The reason why Meek is being lambasted by fans is due to a lyric in the track, where he seems to have referenced the tragic helicopter crash where Kobe Bryant lost his life in 2020. Bryant’s daughter Gianna and seven other people also lost their lives in the crash in Calabasas.
Here is the supposed lyric that has drawn the ire of several fans online.
“Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,”
The belief is that Meek has rapped on the track and it has been listed on Genius under the title “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe).” Another lyric in the surfaced track features Lil Baby saying:
“Have a son, so I can name him Kobe/Daughter Gigi.”
Meek seemingly addressed the controversy online as he took to Twitter and said the following:
somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….shit like zombie land or something! Lol
This is not the only controversy Meek Mill has gotten himself into. The rapper recently clashed with 6ix9ine outside of a club in Atlanta over the past weekend, where video footage showed the two having a shouting contest.
