LeBron James is a bonafide legend in the world of professional basketball, with his career record speaking for itself. At the age of 36, he has been touted as one of the best players in the history of the sport.
Now it seems James has achieved another milestone in his already-stacked career. The Los Angeles Lakers forward got his name into the history books as it was revealed on Thursday that James is now the third-ever NBA player to score 35,000. career points.
To add to that, James reached the record faster than anyone else in the sport. During Thursday’s game against the Nets, James only needed 15 points against them to reach the milestone, which James did it before halftime.
Judging by his performance and current pace, James might just surpass Karl Malone the #2 spot on the all-time scoring list when the 2021-22 session ends.
Nothing is guaranteed in professional sports, but James certainly has what it takes to achieve the #1 spot which is currently held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
