Update: Tiger Woods went into surgery for multiple leg injuries.
Original: Pro golfing legend Tiger Woods has been hospitalized after a bad car crash on Feb 23rd. This was reported by the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
In a public statement from the LA County Sheriff’s Department, it was said that the 52-year-old sports celebrity was involved in an accident that took place at around 7:12 AM local time in California. Responding officers found that the car had rolled over. Woods was alone in the car and they needed the “jaws of life” to get him out.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Black-horse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage.
The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick “Tiger” Woods. Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the “jaws of life” by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.
The traffic investigation is being conducted by investigators from LASD Lomita Station.
The extent of Tiger Woods’ injuries is not known at this time. We are sending our best after such a traumatic event.
