Over a year ago, popular singer Taylor Swift planned on holding a couple of music festivals for fans to enjoy. They were called ”Lover Fest” East and West, which was named after ”Lover” album. Around that time, it was her latest album.
The ”Lover” tour was going to take place in Los Angeles and Foxborough, MA. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic took place shortly after that and all plans were nixed. It forced Swift to postpone the dates of all her tours, which also included the aforementioned festivals.
It has been close to a year since she postponed the dates and now it seems Swift has officially cancelled the tour. Swift recently took to Twitter and relayed the sad news about the cancellation.
I love coming on here to tell you good news, or to share a new project with you. It’s not my favorite thing in the world to have to tell you news I’m sad about. This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future.I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to. I miss you terribly and can’t wait til we can all safely be at shows together again.
New dates were not scheduled for the shows, and fans were able to refund tickets as the shows were postponed as well.
It is likely Taylor Swift will return to doing live events once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, however long that takes.
