Evan Rachel Wood called Kobe Bryan a “rapist” in an old tweet, one she sent out on the day he died, and it’s coming back to bite her now.

Vanessa Bryant took a shot at Wood on Saturday for the old tweet. She called it “slanderous” and disturbing in an Instagram story.

“Your false, insensitive, defamatory and slanderous tweet on 1/26/20 is vile and disturbing to say the least. Behavior like this is part of the reason why innocent black men go to jail for crimes they didn’t commit. An accusation doesn’t make someone guilty.”

“YOU DON’T KNOW THE FACTS OF THE CASE.”

All criminal charges brought against Kobe as a result of that 2003 sexual assault case were dropped.

For the record, Wood wrote on the day of Kobe’s death: “What has happened is tragic. I am heartbroken for Kobe’s family. He was a sports hero. He was also a rapist. And all of these truths can exist simultaneously.”
