After 18 years later, perhaps there is hope that the killer of Jam Master Jay might be brought to justice. The New York Post reported that Karl Jordan Jr., the alleged killer, is facing charges which are unrelated to the murder of Jam Master Jay which could make him go to jail for a long time.
Jordan is being indicted and later prosecuted for one count each of conspiring to distribute and possessing to intentionally distribute controlled substances and being involved in a drug-trafficking crime with the use of deadly weapons on Friday, March 5th.
While these charges do not have anything to do with his conviction in the murder of Master, Jordan would be facing 5 years more in prison if proven guilty. Jordan was charged, alongside co-defendant Ronald Washington, 18 years after the murder of the Run D.M.C turntablist happened.
Ronald had already been in prison serving for the charge of robbery, while Jordan had been taken into custody on August 16, 2020. After the conviction happened, ABC7 News revealed that a deal worth 1.7 million dollars had gone haywire before the execution.
This lends credence to the theory that Jay was allegedly going to exclude Washington from the deal, so him and Jordan banded together to take out the legendary artist. Let’s hope that if they’re the real culprits, the death of Jay will get avenged.
