Tom Brady is doing his best to add the top of the crop in the Buccaneers to create a team that is unbeatable. Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that Tom Brady might want to snatch Odell Beckham Jr. from the hands of the Cleveland Browns.
While this is a stunning proposition that might be causing uncontrollable hype in fans, it is perhaps not feasible for the Buccaneers, according to Schefter. He explained that while they might try to fit Beckham in, the costs of keeping him on will probably invite more financial loss for the team than profit.
[It would be] challenging to fit a wide receiver in at that number on top of everything else they’re trying to get done there.
Odell Beckham has a salary cap of $15.8 million for this season. Beckham also has a contract running with the Browns which has a duration of 5-years, and he’s already undergone three. He also signed a contract with the Giants for $95 million in 2018.
While Odell and Brady have always been likely to end up in the same team, let’s see whether the Buccaneers can snatch him away after such impossible odds.
