Music legend Jay-z is currently a happy man after his billion-dollar net worth rose an astonishing 40% recently after selling his streaming service Tidal to Jack Dorsey’s Square, Inc and also selling half of his champagne brand Armand de Brignac.
Hov was said to have earned a ludicrous $297 million, but it led to many asking how much his co-owners earned. Others who bought-in when Jay acquired Tidal back in 2015 include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Calvin Harris, deadmau5, and several more big names in the music industry.
According to a report by Variety, it was revealed how much each of these partners will earn in the latest Tide deal. It was stated that those who partnered with Hov were “gifted 3% in equity in Tidal,” which was estimated to be approximately y $8.91 million.
Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey said the following as well recently:
I’m grateful for Jay’s vision, wisdom, and leadership. I knew TIDAL was something special as soon as I experienced it, and I’m inspired to work with him. He’ll now help lead our entire company, including Seller and the Cash App, as soon as the deal closes.
It seems partnering up with mogul Jay-Z has proved to be a financially smart decision for several musicians.
