WAP, the sensational song born out of a prolific collaboration between Megan Thee Stallion & Cardi B could have sprung out sooner, had Cardi B not been so shy in contacting Megan Thee Stallion.
While ‘WAP,’ the song isn’t as trendy as it was a few months ago, it is eternally appreciated on social media. The duo of artists came together during the lockdowns on 2020 to create ‘WAP’, the song that was too hot to handle and even made politicians speak on it at lengths.
Cardi B recently revealed that she had been keeping an eye on Megan Thee Stallion since a while, but hadn’t contacted her because of feeling a bit nervous about it. While being interviewed on iHeartRadio Presents See Her Hear Her: Celebrating Women in Music.
Megan came out and for like a whole year, I never interacted with her because I was like, I don’t know. I’m too shy and everything. I feel like other artists are shy, too. Should I be cool with her? I don’t know if she likes me. It’s always about breaking the ice and always having a conversation and catching somebody at the right time. We linked up and she just had such a good vibe.
She went on to say that she is rooting for Megan in the Grammys. She continued:
I always want to see her win and I think she feels the same way about me, too. And every single time I see her doing good, I just get so happy.
While Megan gets in line to wait and see whether she wins the Grammy or not, Cardi is ready to extend her support by a glamourous performance.
