Drew Barrymore was called “America’s sweetheart” by Norm MacDonald when she appeared on his show for an interview. She has been acting practically since she was a child, so it would make sense to think that she would never really be out from the world of acting.
While appearing on the Amy Cohen show, The Charlie’s Angels actress revealed that she doesn’t really want to continue down the path of acting anytime soon when she was asked the question.
If I’m being honest, the answer is no, I don’t want to be on a film set right now, but that could change when my kids are older. I stopped doing these when my kids were born because I’ve done it since I was in diapers. At 11-months-old is when I started… It was a no-brainer to me to put making movies on a back burner so that I could be present and raise my kids myself. I didn’t want to be on a film set asking the nanny how the kids were.
When Amy Cohen and Barrymore were discussing The Drew Barrymore Show, Cohen asked whether Drew is interested in making movies any time soon. Barrymore explained that she doesn’t really want to be on a film set “asking the nanny how the kids are.”
Barrymore has starred in timeless classics such as E.T. Extra Terrestrial. She had her debut on the science fiction movie Altered States at the early age of 5. While her fans would miss her from the big screen, they sure hope that she continues to be a good mother to her children.
