The main event of the UFC Vegas 21 event saw No. 3 ranked Leon Edwards face off against No. 13 ranked Belal Muhammad. The match didn’t end in a way anyone expected as Edwards unintentionally poked Muhammad in the eye, resulting in the match being called off and the main event was ruled a no-decision.

Edwards thought he hit a punch on Muhammad but it turned out to be a severely painful eye poke. Many fans were concerned about Muhamad’s condition after the match, worrying that he might have suffered permanent damage to his eye.

It seems that might not be the case, despite all the swelling. ‘Remember The Name’ took to Twitter and updated fans on his condition, as he revealed that the UFC fighter didn’t suffer any permanent eye damage.

My heart is shattered my first main event ended like that but Gods the best of planners im sorry to the fans and the @ufc you deserved a full fight.. Alhamdillah the vision is coming back and no permanent damage to the eye I’ll be back and want to run it back @Leon_edwardsmma

We wish a speedy recovery to Muhammad and hope he will get to have a proper rematch with Edwards soon enough.
