Persis Khambatta was famous for her role in Star Trek as well as many other Hollywood science fiction epics. Her ex-boyfriend, Edward Lozzi, told Oakland News Now Daily that Persis had died in the way as it was reported at the time.
Edward claims that Persis had been murdered out of political motivations. She died on 18th August, 1998 with the reported causes of her death being a heart attack.
As she was an ardent supporter of Indira Gandhi, India’s prime minister who was assassinated in 1984 by two of her bodyguards following a political revolution started by a group of militant Sikhs who were ideologically in opposition to the policies that Indira Gandhi had implemented at the time.
Lozzi denied that Persis had died of a heart attack. After he sent a private investigator to Mumbai to find out whether she had really died of a heart attack, the findings were quite odd. The investigator found no death certificate on her name, and checking with the hospital, they found that an actual autopsy had never been performed. After trying to probe deeper into the case, Lozzi claimed that the investigator was faced with hostility.
There is no doubt in my mind that she was murdered. They told her they were going to kill her, and they did. It would be very easy to inject air into her heart or turn a switch off in a hospital room.
Edward has never stopped believing that she was killed, as he has been saying this since 1998. Shortly after the actress’ death, he took to his website to claim that her death was politically motivated.
