WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is one of the most legitimate athletes to have competed in the world of both MMA and pro wrestling. For a long time now Lashley has made it clear he wants to face off against Brock Lesnar in any way possible.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Lashley was asked about possibly facing fellow pro wrestling and MMA star Brock Lesnar in the future. Lashley stated that he is open to facing Lesnar in any type of match, be it in WWE or MMA.
“I’m willing to wrestle, I’m willing to do 100-meter dash, I don’t care. I love those big matchups! Brock is one of the biggest thing across the sports industry, sports world across the board.
So if I can have an opportunity to fight Brock or wrestle Brock or do anything against Brock, I’m 100% in and I will be ready. That’s all I gotta say about that!”
Lashley has an MMA record of 15-2, with wins in Bellator and Strikeforce, as well as other promotions. He has not competed in MMA since 2016.
On the other hand, Brock Lesnar is 5-3 with 1 no contest. It must be noted that Lesnar faced even harder competition in UFC as he defeated the likes of Randy Couture, Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. He also hasn’t competed in MMA since 2016, his last match being against Mark Hunt.
One thing is for sure, whenever the two behemoths duke it out – it’ll be a big money event.
