Zack Snyder Wanted Ryan Reynolds As Green Lantern In Justice League

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds played the role of DC’s Green Lantern in the 2013 movie of the same name. However, that movie was panned by fans and critics alike.

Reynolds took every opportunity he could at mocking the movie, including taking a shot at the character in Deadpool 2. However, it seems he might have been included in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder talked about his Justice League movie and whether Ryan Reynolds would have been in it.

“I thought that if we had gone down this path [with] Green Lantern, I would’ve had to have Ryan as the additional Lantern,” Snyder concluded. “But that’s another story.”

As fans have seen, Ryan Reynolds was nowhere to be found in Snyder’s version of the movie. Reynolds himself debunked the rumor last month that he was going to be in it. Perhaps fans might get to see him reprise the role in some capacity should Snyder’s Justice League end up becoming a huge success.
