Khabib Nurmagomedov is still one of the most popular MMA fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. He announced his retirement from the UFC after his win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 last year.
Since then, there have been many teases from the Russian fighter that he might be making a return to the UFC. However, it seems that is no longer going to happen.
UFC President Dana White took to Twitter and officially announced that Khabib Nurmagomedov has retired from the UFC.
“29-0 it is. He is officially retired. It was incredible to watch you work. Thank you for EVERYTHING and enjoy whatever is next my friend.
Khabib was recently seen with the former CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Lorenzo Fertitta. That made many people wonder whether he would finally be back.
However, as it has now been confirmed, Khabib is done with UFC. We will have to see what is next in store for the legendary MMA fighter.
