Khabib Nurmagomedov will forever be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. Khabib put an end to his career after his match against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020.
Dana White recently announced that Kabib was done for good and there was no going back. At UFC Vegas 22, Khabib was talking to Kevin Holland. Despite Khabib’s advice, Holland would be defeated by Derek Brunson.
After the end of the match, Khabib Nurmagomedov was found talking to Megan Olivi, discussing his retirement from UFC. The former UFC lightweight champion stated that he had no intention of ever returning to MMA as the UFC has nothing left to offer except money fights.
Khabib noted that he has no interest in competing in money fights.
“I’m the world champion. I’m the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter. I defended my title three times. I won the biggest fight in UFC history. What else? Only money fights. But I don’t need money fights.”
We will have to see what is next in store for Khabib now that he is done with the world of MMA for good.
