Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the most popular and accomplished basketball players to have ever stepped foot inside the court. His accolades speak for themselves as he has shown time and again why James is truly an all-time great.
However, it seems he wants more MVP awards as well. While speaking to reporters, James said:
“I should have more than four, I believe. But … I don’t sit around thinking about it or crying about it, or whatever the case may be. I just try to come in the next season and be the MVP and be talked about [for] it again. I bet a lot of the greatest that played this game feel like they should have more as well, if you ask any one of those guys.”
James last won an MVP award for his performance in 2012-13 and his Lakers teammate Kyle Kuzma stated:
“The NBA MVP is a very political award,” said Kuzma. “Bron should have been the MVP at least eight, nine, 10 times. Everybody knows that.”
James is only behind Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar in total MVP awards. We will have to see whether James will win more MVP awards in the future.
