Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League released recently and it has proven to be a huge success as both fans and critics have lauded it. One of the biggest praises the film has received is about Ray Fisher’s Cyborg character, who many have dubbed as the heart of the film.
It seems Zack Snyder wanted to make a solo movie for Cyborg before Justice League was filmed. While being interviewed by Esquire, Snyder stated that he regretted not doing enough to set up a solo movie for Cyborg before Justice League, in the same way Snyder helped make solo films for Wonder Woman and Aquaman.
“I’m very sad that I didn’t push harder to set up the Cyborg movie before we shot Justice League because I’d done a lot of work to set up Wonder Woman and Aquaman and to get those movies on their feet. And I really wish I had done that with Cyborg because he’s really on his feet at the end of the movie. He’s really ready to go. And I just thought, well, the truth is I just assumed that it was a no brainer that a Cyborg movie would be in the works. You know what I mean? It seems like so obvious.”
Cyborg’s character was explored thoroughly during the movie and fans would love nothing more than to see him make a return in his own solo movie. We will have to see if Cyborg will ever get a movie of his own in the future.
