CBS is certainly ready to release the reboot the 1994 film True Lies in the form of a TV series. However, it seems the show has been delayed in order to flesh out the story better.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” CBS decided to delay the series from the current project cycle so that more time can be given to James Cameron in order to work on the series.
The belief is that they will be able to air the pilot during the Summer of this year.
Currently no one has been casted for the pilot as of yet, but CBS is certainly excited at the prospect of making the series a reality.
The pilot was written by Matt Nix and will be directed by McG, who is well known for the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ film series. We will have to see how the pilot will turn out to be once it gets released.
