Stipe Miocic is one of the biggest names in UFC after becoming the UFC heavyweight champion. He’s soon going to face Francis Ngannou at the UFC 260 this weekend.
While Miocic is ready to fight Francis Ngannou, he’s already planning his next fight, and Jon Jones is not who he has in his mind. Stipe really would love to fight against Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua, as he told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani in an interview.
Oh yeah, I’d love to. Absolutely.
When he was asked about why does he want to take Fury or Joshua after Francis Ngannou instead of taking Jones on, he said that it would be a new challenge and that fighting is all about trying doing different things.
It’s different. It’s a different fight. Boxing is all about technique, but I’ll also make it a fight.
While he wants to take the fight to them, he didn’t expect that they would be willing to step inside a cage against him for an MMA fight. However, he just wishes to take them down in their own game and claims it’d be fair that way.
Absolutely. It’s more of a fair fight.
If Miocic ends up beating Francis, he would get his wish to fight whoever he wants, which would mean that his fight with Jones would have to wait.
