San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Kevin Givens is one of the top players for the team. However, it seems he has landed himself in hot water as Givens is facing a very serious charge.
According to TMZ Sports, the court documents have stated that the 24-year-old Givens was charged with misdemeanor second-degree assault after Hayden Bosley alleged Givens attacked him on Feb. 21.
Bosley stated that he was out for the night in Baltimore when Bosley had a confrontation with the NFL star. Bosley stated that he, Givens’ girlfriend and another friend were trying to call an Uber/Lyft when they asked Givens if he was going to join them.
Bosley stated that Givens was visibly enraged and told him to get away. After this Bosley left with the other two for a Sheraton Hotel in the area. Bosley then alleged that Givens came to the hotel sometime later, saw the three together and attacked.
It was claimed that Givens tackled Bosley to the ground dislocated his shoulder and continued to wrestle with him. After making his escape, Bosley claimed that he suffered a black eye, bruises, cuts and scrapes on top of the shoulder injury at the hands of Givens.
Bosley added that he went to the emergency room and received medical treatment from 3 AM to 7 AM. The NFL Star is now due to appear before a court next month. Should Givens be convicted, he will be looking at 10 years jail time.
Currently, Givens has yet to make a statement regarding the allegations meted against him. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story.
