Halle Berry is one of the most popular female actresses in all of Hollywood. She is currently involved in a legal case with her ex Gabriel Aubry over support of their r 13-year-old daughter. Now it seems Berry will have to pay a considerably less sum of money every month.
According to The Blast, the “X-Men” actress and Aubry recently negotiated a settlement in the child support case regarding the amount Berry had to pay. Since March 1st of this year, Berry will only have to pay her ex $8,000 a-month. This is half of what she had to pay Aubry every month.
As stated in the agreement, Halle will pay “retroactive” support Gabriel in the amount of $85,000 and will also continue paying Nahla’s private school tuition and health insurance.
It was further stated that Berry will have to pay Aubry additional child support if her income exceeds 1.95 million in any year. On top of that, she also has to contribute $5,000 to Gabriel’s attorney’s fees and costs. It was also stated that the ex-couple agreed on settling any future disputes via a private judge.
Berry had previously criticized the amount of money she had to pay for child support, adding that the laws are “outdated” and “no longer reflect the modern world”. Thankfully, her load has been lessened as of now and she can focus on other things in her life.
