Jon Jones is still one of the best UFC fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Jones has been a light heavyweight for his entire career and proved to be one of the best. Jones is also working the hardest he has in his life in preparation for his debut in UFC’s Heavyweight division.
UFC president Dana White had previously confirmed that Jon Jones will be challenging the winner of UFC 260’s Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou Heavyweight Championship fight.
Now it seems a possible date for the match was revealed. While speaking to Max Kellerman on ESPN show First Take, Dana White revealed that Jon Jones’ Heavyweight title fight will be taking place in the Fall of this year.
“Jones has been training for this moment for a while now. He’s been putting on weight… and preparing to move up to heavyweight. I’m sure he’ll be watching closely on Saturday night and then, whoever wins, we’ll figure out when this fight happens. Assuming what makes the most sense, it’s Jones vs the winner (of UFC260) sometime in the fall,”
We will have to see who will become the new UFC Heavyweight Champion first, before Jones can finally get his chance at the title.
