Harry Potter Actor Jason Isaacs Says He Ruined The Movies For His Kids

The Harry Potter film franchise remains one of the most beloved fantasy works of all time and has catapulted most of its main stars to superstardom, most notably Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and more.

One of the main antagonists in the series was Lucius Malfoy, who was played by Jason Isaacs. His character was one of the most despised in the entire franchise, but his importance can’t be understated in the grand scheme of things in the films.

However, it seems Isaacs’ role as Malfoy had a negative effect on his personal life. While speaking to Digital Spy, Jason Isaacs stated he ruined the Harry Potter series for his children.

He then stated that his children would rather “eat their own toes” than watch anything that has him in it.

Oh God no, my kids don’t watch anything I’m in – I’ve ruined it for them. They’d rather eat their own toes than watch anything their Dad’s in. Let’s park Harry Potter for a second. In almost everything else I’ve ever done they’d be watching their dad either have sex or murder people – sometimes both at the same time. It’s not anything people want to deal with – except in therapy. They love the books on the other hand.

We can hope that someday Isaacs’ children will be able to watch the film despite their father being a villain in the franchise as it is definitely a must-watch for anyone who loves the fantasy genre in general.
