Conor McGregor has cemented himself as one of the all-time greats in the world of MMA and is considered by many as a living legend. As much as he likes praising himself, McGregor is also open to praising other fights if they deserve it.
MMA reporter Chamatkar Sandhu took to Twitter and uploaded a video, stating that it had been ten years since the iconic match between Nick Diaz and Paul Daley.
Can’t believe it’s already been a decade since Nick Diaz and Paul Daley produced arguably the single greatest round in MMA history.
Conor McGregor saw the tweet and in a very rare instance, actually praised the bout as he said it was incredible.
‘Incredible bout!’
Nick Diaz defended his Strikeforce welterweight title against hard-hitting Brit Paul Daley in the main event of Strikeforce: Diaz vs Daley on April 9, 2011. Diaz’s incredible offence made short work of Daley as he won via TKO at the 4:57 mark of the very first round.
Diaz became the first StrikeForce welterweight champion to defend the title three consecutive times with the win over Paul Daley. Perhaps it isn’t as big a surprise to see McGregor praise the fight as McGregor is a fan of highlight-reel finishes.
