There is certainly a lot of bad blood between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. The two have crossed paths on two occasions and each has a win over the other. The third fight in the trilogy is set to take place on July 10 and McGregor is more than determined to win the upcoming fight.
Dustin Poirier recently accused McGregor of not paying a $500k donation to his foundation despite promising to do so. Conor McGregor has finally responded to Poirier’s accusations and decided to clarify what happened.
McGregor stated that they had been awaiting the plans for the money that never came.
A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.
Poirier gave a prompt reply to McGregor, stating that it was never a debt but rather an offer that Poirier’s team accepted from McGregor.
100% never a debt. You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again
It is likely that the winner of the upcoming fight between the two will go on to face the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion in a title fight eventually. We will have to see whether McGregor can finally beat Poirier and put all doubters to rest.
