Usher is one of the most popular musicians since he debuted back in the 90s. The singer is currently trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons – he allegedly gave a dancer fake dollar bills with his face on them instead of real money.
A Las Vegas-based dancer who goes by Pisces shared an image of three distinct Usher-themed dollar bills, in denominations of $1, $20, and $100. The notes promote Usher: The Vegas Experience, his upcoming residency that will launch in July. The bills were very clearly designed to look like real money.
Pisces took to Instagram to questioning Usher’s actions.
“Ladies what would you do if you danced all night for usher and he threw this??”
She also added that the notes had no value and strongly condemned the singer’s actions.
“& the money does not have a trade in value what so ever! Lmao don’t y’all think he should be blasted on social media for this sh*t?”
Usher seemingly responded to the controversy (or at least posted something relevant). He shared a photo of himself wearing a bucket hat made of actual $1 bills.
Twitter has actually sided with Pisces while simultaneously poking fun at the singer. While everyone agrees what he did was wrong, most reactions are light-hearted with some calling the singer out for cheaping out given his $180 million net worth.
We hope Usher can redeem himself before the internet stops laughing at his antics.
