The singing competition television series American Idol is currently in its 19th season. While the shows popularity has been mostly unmatched, some fans were unhappy with the April 12 live show saying the song choices were boring and the contestants didn’t excite them.
While many viewers tuned in for the live show, some were utterly bored by the live show which normally evokes wonder in music fans. A number of fans took to Twitter following the American Idol live show complaining about the commercials. Some even wanted the series to be cancelled.
“American Idol is not the same as it was a year ago. Either get a new format or cancel the show cause it’s boring #AmericanIdol,”
“I literally cannot watch #AmericanIdol too many commercials. Boring singers.”
“Who is making these song choices for the contestants? Some of these songs are older than they are! Boring! And the judge’s criticism seems canned. Where is Simon? Let these kids sing current songs!”
American Idol airs on Sundays and Mondays at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific on ABC. We hope the show revives its claim to fame soon entertaining music fans worldwide.
