Sebastian Stan is currently one of the most popular actors in Hollywood due to his incredible performance as the Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films such as Captain America 2, The Avengers: Infinity War and the current Marvel show The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
What many fans might not know is that Stan is a huge pro wrestling fan and it seems he has shown interest in playing the role of one of the all-time greats in a wrestling biopic.
While speaking with Collider in order to promote his new movie called Monday, Stan answered a written question from actor Paul Walter Hauser. Hauser asked him what new project Stan wanted to do, Stan simply state that he would love nothing more than to play the role of ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair in a pro wrestling biopic.
That’s it, man. We got to do that Ric Flair/Anderon biopic. You know, by the way, did you ever… you have to have interviewed [Hauser] at some point, right? […] He’s so funny. I mean, he’s such a big wrestling fan, you know, and I was a big wrestling fan too growing up. Like, I love WWF and stuff. And we both have a kip-up. So, maybe Ric Flair. I’ll do it in a second if they let me. I mean, pretty soon, I’ll be eligible, I guess.
Stan has performed his impression of Flair publicly a few times in the past and is definitely into the idea of recreating The Four Horsemen with Hauser. We will have to see if WWE and Stan can work out a deal and get this project doing, as fans would certainly love to see The Winter Soldier actor don the iconic robe of Ric Flair.
