Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. The Rock had very humble beginnings and he is forever grateful for all the opportunities he has received over the years.
The Rock recently took to social media and uploaded a video where he talked about a defining moment in his life that ultimately changed it for the better. He also shared a clip from his television show Young Rock, which honors his old football coach who taught him the importance of second chances.
The Rock detailed how he had an altercation with a coach named Jodi Cwik and almost came to blows with him. The next day the coach would shake his hand and this changed his life in many ways as he was given a second chance.
I was 15yrs old and just moved to Bethlehem, PA and just started attending Freedom High School.
Within a month I’d already been arrested as well as suspended for fighting. I had an incident with a teacher/football coach named Jodi Cwik in the teachers lounge where we almost came to blows.
I acted like a real asshole to him, so the next day I found him so I could apologize eye to eye and face to face.
When he wouldn’t let my hand go, I thought he was gonna deck the shit outta of me 😂🤜🏾🤦🏽♂️ but instead he said something to me that would forget change the course of life.
Thank you all for tuning in and for all your amazing feedback and comments.
Rest In Peace, coach Cwik and thank you for believing in that 15yr old punk kid
The Rock certainly will never forget where he came from and just how much he struggled to make it where The Rock is right now. The Rock truly respects everyone who has helped him in his life and will forever be grateful to them.
