After many months of anticipation and hype, Jake Paul and Ben Askren finally squared off against each other in a professional match at Triller Fight Club on April 17th.
In what was perhaps a shocking conclusion, Jake Paul ended up knocking out Ben Askren in the first round, which garnered a negative response from fans and UFC fighters alike. Jake Paul’s ego inflated and he decided to call out numerous MMA stars and that included UFC legend Daniel Cormier.
While speaking on the “Impulsive” podcast, Jake Paul didn’t have anything good to say about Daniel Cormier. Paul declared that he will beat the “f***” out of Daniel Cormier.
“Daniel Cormier, I’ll beat the f**k out of your fat ass too — just like Stipe did. I swear to god, I’ll beat the f**k out of Daniel Cormier.”
The reason for Jake Paul being so against Cormier stems from when Daniel Cormier recently criticized the way Jake Paul and his friend, fellow boxer J’Leon Love, were speaking to Tyron Woodley, which led to Paul calling out Cormier for a match.
Cormier would respond to Paul on the “DC & Helwani” podcast on Monday, where he said that he would kill him.
“This dude would never fight me. I would kill him. Why would I ever fight someone like that?”
Paul responded and stated that he would be very interested in a Pay-Per-View boxing match against Cormier. However, it is highly unlikely Cormier will actually accept Paul’s challenge as he clearly has better things to do.
