Marilyn Manson is in the hot seat in a big way and former girlfriend Esmé Bianco is taking him to court with some heavy allegations.
Esmé Bianco alleges that she was raped and sexually battered by the Beautiful People rocker. She is now suing Manson and his former manager Tony Ciulla according to documents obtained by Rolling Stone.
The lawsuit filed on Friday at the United States District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Manson violated human trafficking laws with his former manager and their management company.
Bianco alleges that she was brought to the United States from London to act in Manson’s “I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies” music video and a horror film called Phantasmagoria. Neither of those projects actually happened.
On Friday, Bianco tweeted out a graphic with text that revealed her situation to the world.
As millions of survivors like myself are painfully aware, our legal system is far from perfect. This is why I co-created the Phoenix Act, a law which gives precious additional healing time to thousands of domestic violence survivors. But while I fight for a more just legal system, I am also pursuing my right to demand my abuser be held to account, using every avenue available to me.
For far too long my abuser has been left unchecked, enabled by money, fame and an industry that turned a blind eye. Despite the numerous brave women who have spoken out against Marilyn Manson, countless survivors remain silenced, and some of their voices will never be heard. My hope is that by raising mine I will help to stop Brian Warner from shattering any more lives and empower other victims to seek their own small measure of justice.
The filing by Bianco revealed that “by inserting himself in Ms. Bianco’s visa process, Mr. Warner [Manson] was able to control Ms. Bianco by threatening to withdraw support if she displeased him.” At one point he also allegedly locked her in a bathroom.
Marilyn Manson has seen several women come out and speak about abuse they alleged suffered from him. Bianca claims that Manson sexually abused her during their 2011 relationship. Her filing also said that Manson raped her “in or around May 2011.” There were also instances where “drugs, force and threats of force to coerce sexual acts” took place.
“These acts include spanking, biting, cutting, and whipping Ms. Bianco’s buttocks, breasts, and genitals for Mr. Warner’s sexual gratification—all without the consent of Plaintiff.”
We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation. This is a very new story, but it is also another unfortunate chapter in Marylin Manson’s career as of late.
