The 2018 film Black Panther featured Michael B. Jordan as the antagonist for the film, Killmonger. For many fans, he was a very well-written villain with proper character motivations and depth that was rarely seen in Marvel movies back then.
Despite the unfortunate passing of the late Chadwick Boseman, Marvel has decided that they will be proceeding with Black Panther 2. While many actors from the first film will be appearing in the sequel film, it seems Jordan is unlikely to.
While speaking to SXM, Michael B. Jordan discussed the possibility of him appearing in the sequel film. Jordan was asked on a scale of 1 to 10 how likely it was that he’ll return in Black Panther 2. He decided to give that chance a solid 2, make means his appearance is very unlikely.
“I didn’t want to go with zero, you know what I mean? And it’s like, you know, never say never, you know, I can’t predict the future. So I mean, it’s ‘Black Panther 2’. The two, I just figured two would be like, two sounds okay, I guess… All I know is that they’re developing a script that, you know, is a reflection of a lot of circumstances and tragedy that we had to deal with this past year.”
Narcos Mexico star Tenoch Huerta is likely to be the main antagonist in the second film. Black Panther 2 is slated to release on Jul 08, 2022. We will have to see how the film will turn out to be without Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan.
