CEO of Tesla Motors and business tycoon Elon Musk made headlines for a very interesting reason, as it was announced last month that he will be making his debut on the May 8 episode of Saturday Night Live as a host. Elon Musk had already reacted to this announcement.
The announcement was met with a lot of backlash from fans and even SNL members weren’t too happy about his appearance. Now it seems Elon Musk has decided to take his upcoming appearance seriously.
Musk recently took to Twitter and asked around for skit ideas for his upcoming ‘SNL’ appearance, completely ignoring the ongoing outrage regarding his appearance.
“Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?”
Musk then went on to pitch a couple of ideas of his own, which included the likes of ‘Woke James Bond’ and others.
“Woke James Bond. Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank. Irony Man – defeats villains using the power of irony.”
Fans decided to make fun of Elon Musk in hilarious fashion.
“*some writer pitches idea* Elon pauses “You can go, thanks.” “Whom else has an idea? We are optimizing for laughs. Typical audience laugh targets are stagnant at 68%. A good idea is one that gets us to 70-72%.”
How about a skit where a selfish billionaire has a tantrum and makes a showy to-do about moving his factory to another state, but that new state is so dysfunctional it has a third-world power grid and runs out of electricity to run his factories and cars? That would be hilarious.
Musk became a controversial figure after his comments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it ‘dumb’ last year and then recently saying how a “bunch of people will probably die” during his planned Mars mission.
The upcoming ‘SNL’ episode will also feature musical guest Miley Cyrus, who will make her sixth appearance on the show. We will have to see how Elon Musk will perform as a host, even though many people aren’t all that excited for it.
