Channing Tatum is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood and the female fans, in particular, love him. Tatum always makes sure to be in impeccable physical shape as most of the movies he stars in demand that.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic changed all that for him as he was forced to stay in quarantine and gained a lot of weight in the process. While speaking on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tatum revealed how he gained weight during the pandemic.
“For the first like, I’d say week or two weeks, I definitely was just drinking beers and riding dirt bikes and I was like, ‘I can’t do this for like, two months.’ Like, ‘This is bad,'” And then me and my buddy, we just went really, really hard. We started training every day. And it was great. I mean, I came out a completely new person.”
Host Jimmy Fallon then asked him how “big” he got from all those beers and bike rides and Tatum simply revealed that he gained a whopping 10 pounds while staying in quarantine.
“Pretty fat. I would say probably, college 10, a nice 10 pounds. And then I took it off.”
Tatum added that he eventually lost all the weight by working very hard on himself. In an Instagram post back in August of last year, Tatum could be seen wearing a colorful, paint-splattered apron, fairy wings and an eye mask bearing a crown, and sitting to read his own children’s book to his daughter.
A month after that, Tatum uploaded a shirtless photo of himself, showing off the results of his hard work at the gym and dieting.
“It’s been a long road back. Injuries, life s–t, and just insanity in general. Ha daddy is finally back boooi!! Gonna be a fun next 10 year run. To all those that have been there for me and held me down through it all. I love you. I’m gonna make ya proud. Let’s goo. Also peep the purell bottle. Keep it clean out there folks. Hahaha.”
Tatum certainly works hard to look as good as he does and the results speak for themselves. We will have to see what is next in store for Tatum.
