The long-standing rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier remains one of the most highly discussed topics in the MMA world. The Notorious One isn’t one to back down from a fight and also to spare any expenses when it comes to talking trash to his opponents.
Ahead of his upcoming fight against Dustin Poirier, it seems McGregor is more confident than usual. McGregor took to Twitter and showed the world just how supremely confident he is of his chances.
The former two-division champion declared that he will be absolutely flawless in his upcoming fight and that McGregor has the backing of a higher power. He also added that Poirier has awoken a beast.
“July 10th I will do this absolutely flawlessly. We have these clowns sussed and fully! They wanna play a game of tactics? No problem, see you in there. You’ve awoken a beast. A beast with the backing of a much higher power! Say your prayers.’
McGregor is set to square off against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on July 11th in their third fight together. Both of them currently have a win over the other, so we will have to see who will become the definite winner in the high profile rivalry. Should McGregor lose, it is likely he will lose all of his credibility.
