Drew Barrymore remains one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood, even if she has no intention of ever returning to acting. Besides being an actress, she is also a mother and fans are well aware of how much she loves her daughters.
While appearing on the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the 46-year-old actress got a tattoo dedicated to her daughters. The tattoo had a special message that read “Home is where we are,” which was inked on her arm. She would then explain the message as well.
“Home is where we are and wherever life takes you, if you are lucky enough to be alongside people you love, then to me, that became the definition of home.
The actress sat behind her news desk in order to get inked as she got help from “Ink Master” star Ryan Ashley to inscribe the “most important life lesson” on her right forearm.
Barrymore also treated a mother of two from the audience to a tattoo of her own and stated that her “eyes were stinging from crying too much” when talking about her daughters on the show.
“I never knew what home was until I had my daughters. I thought, ‘I’m gonna make us a home that will be forever and so strong,’ and then life changed and our plans changed.
When I was in rental apartments, or not knowing where life was going, or so upset that the plans I tried to solidify for my kids had changed, it really led to the discovery of what home really means for me — and that is if we are together, wherever we are, home is where we are.”
She could be seen crying in the clips provided on Instagram as well. It is certainly wonderful to see Drew Barrymore love her children so much and remain dedicated to them, as it is not an exaggeration to say her children have given her life a new purpose.
