Jay-Z Could Be Starting His Own Production Company

Jay-Z is undoubtedly one of the most popular and legendary rappers in the Hip-Hop world. On top of his musical prowess, he is also a smart businessman and is worth over a billion dollars for good reason.

Jay-Z sold majority of Tidal to Square last month, earning him around $350 million. Now it seems he’s already thought of a new business venture and is working on it quite a lot.

According to legal documentation obtained by TMZ, Hova’s company, S. Carter Enterprises, filed to trademark “2/J” on May 3 for “entertainment services in the nature of creation, development, and production” of television programming, TV series, movies and similar projects.

From the looks of it, it seems Jay-Z might be starting his own production company and has already started to lay the groundwork for the same. There is no doubt that Jay-Z starting his own production company would be quite fitting.

Jay-Z has already made a killing off of his own cognac with D’Usse, the streaming service Tidal and his highly successful Roc Nation. On top of that, the rapper also launched his own premium cannabis brand, Monogram. We are certain Jay-Z’s production company will be very successful as he has proved to be an amazing businessman time and time again.
