Gwyneth Paltrow remains one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, but also a very controversial one. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a worldwide lockdown for many countries and affected several people and that includes Gwyneth Paltrow.
It seems the actress has been drinking a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic while being in quarantine, which led to her gaining 14 pounds. Paltrow is known for her wellness and lifestyle brand Goop and recently spoke to The Mirror, where it was revealed that she drank a lot of quinoa whiskey cocktails to help her get through the lockdown.
She made a drink called the Buster Paltrow, named after her grandfather who loved whiskey sours. It came to a point that she would have multiple drinks, seven nights a week.
“I was drinking seven nights a week and making pasta and eating bread. I went totally off the rails. I mean, who drinks multiple drinks seven nights a week? Like that’s not healthy. I love whiskey and I make this fantastic drink called the Buster Paltrow, which I named after my grandfather who loved whiskey sours.
And it’s this great quinoa whiskey from this distillery in Tennessee with maple syrup and lemon juice. It’s just heaven. I would have two of those every night of quarantine.”
Paltrow said she did not get “like, black-out” drunk but really craved cigarettes during her drinking sessions every night. The actress had quit smoking long ago but added that she does miss it. People have various ways to cope with the ongoing pandemic and it seems Paltrow’s coping mechanism was alcohol.
