Zack Snyder’s vision which was shown in its full glory in the Snyder Cut version of the Justice League made its way to HBO Max in March and it received tons of praise from fans and critics alike. It was a very long and difficult journey for Snyder to finally release the film.
The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement was what finally led to the film becoming a reality, four years after the 2017 version of Joss Whedon’s Justice League released. There are still many fans who want Zack Snyder to continue the SnyderVerse despite Warner Bros not wanting it.
While speaking to Jake’s Takes, Zack Snyder was asked what he can tell those who hope the SnyderVerse can be restored in the future. Snyder revealed that he is hopeful that the SnyderVerse will be restored despite Warner Bros being “aggressively anti-Snyder.”
Warner Bros. has been aggressively anti-Snyder if you will. What can I say? Clearly, they’re not interested in my take. But I would also say that they certainly weren’t interested in — I would have said originally — in my take on Justice League. They certainly made decisions about that.”
I love the characters, and I love the worlds, and I think it’s an amazing place to make a movie. It’s glorious IP. So there’s that. I don’t know what could be done as you go forward other than I think the fan movement is so strong, and the fan community, [their] intention is so pure, and I really have this huge respect for it. I would hope that cooler heads would prevail with [the studio] and they would see that there’s this massive fandom that wants more of that. But who knows what they’ll do?
Due to the immense success of the film, we certainly hope Warner Bros will consider making more films with Snyder at the helm. He has already proven that his vision is more than worthy of more sequels, so we will have to see whether fans will get to see more DCEU films from Zack Snyder in the future.
