Batista Told Hollywood Execs He Was More Interested In Gears Of War Film Than Fast & Furious

Batista has been lucky enough to get some great roles in Hollywood, but there are a couple that he really wants to check off his list. Gears of War is a video game franchise that he would really like to tackle on the big screen.

We previously reported how Batista demanded the role of Bane in a Batman movie. That has yet to happen, but it might with the proper persistence. Batista also really wants to play Marcus Fenix from the Gears franchise. He made his way into the game for Gears 5, but that isn’t enough.

While speaking with Movie Web, Big Dave Bautista revealed that he has demanded those two parts on separate occasions. He even changed direction from talk about appearing in the Fast & The Furious Franchise to be in a Gears movie.

“I don’t make any pretense about it. I had a chance to get a meeting at WB, they were talking to me about this and that and I said ‘hey, let’s talk about Bane.’ That happened to me one other time in my career. They wanted to talk to me about Fast and the Furious, and I said ‘I’m not interested, let’s talk about [Gears of War character] Marcus Fenix’…”

Batista will be leaving the Drax the Destroyer character after the third Guardians of the Galaxy film. He could be open for a new franchise and Gear of War could definitely provide some substantial paydays.
