Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in several pro wrestling promotions in his career spanning over three decades. He is also an NFL fan and now it seems he wants an NFL legend to appear in AEW.
NFL star Tim Tebow recently signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which is owned by the Khan family. While speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Chris Jericho talked about Tim Tebow appearing in AEW.
Jericho certainly seemed optimistic about Tebow’s appearance as the Khans own both the Jaguars and AEW. Jericho also used the example of Jaguars head coach Urban Meyers making a cameo appearance in AEW. Jericho added that Tony Khan is close to many Jaguars athletes, which makes it likely they could appear in AEW.
“It’s funny because we’ve had cameos – we had a cameo by Urban Meyer at one point. People always talk about Tebow, and now there’s so much of a spotlight on Jacksonville, and Tony Khan, who’s my boss, is very involved with the Jaguars. And I’m sure at some point, we’ll probably have cameos from all of those guys. And there’s no reason not to.”
Seeing how successful Mike Tyson and Shaquille O’Neal’s appearances in AEW were and how well they were presented, perhaps fans might get to see Tim Tebow make his way to AEW as well.
