Tom MacDonald drew a ton of criticism when he paid $100,000 for “Stan’s Revenge,” an NFT that featured an original beat from Eminem. Some fans hated the idea from the jump, but MacDonald dropped the track, and it’s pretty fire. Then again, it is produced by Eminem.

“Dear Slim” is out now, produced by Eminem, featuring an original beat from Shady. This is the same beat that was playing in the short video associated with the Stan’s Revenge NFT.

Some fans called out that they wanted to boycott anything that Tom MacDonald does with Em’s beat. He addressed this head-on in the opening lines of the song. MacDonald explained that he’s not about hating Eminem at all. In fact, he looks up to Shady as his hero.

Tom MacDonald is making a name for himself and he made a ton of noise with this drop. All in all, it turned out well and it’s hard to hate his hustle.

The song already has over 1/2 million views on YouTube. That’s pretty good for an indie artist. Tom MacDonald certainly made his mark with this song. The music video is pretty well produced as well. You can check it out below.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
