A report by Games Radar about a tweet from a Twitter account named “Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst News” has once again started rumors about whether the actors from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy are going to be featured on the third part of MCU’s Spider-Man or not.
The tweet lists Askia Won-Lin Jacob as being the personal costumer to Kristen Dunst for Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the source of this listing is IMDb, which everyone knows, isn’t exactly reliable. Since most users of the website can edit such details, there’s not much sense in believing the rumors.
However, the history of Jacob’s work with Marvel Studios is rather interesting. She’s worked with Marvel in movies such as Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far from Home. But her role was being the personal costumer of Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Captain Nick Fury.
While it’s within the realm of possibility that Jacob is still involved with Marvel in the production of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a credit from a website where details can be altered by anyone is probably not to be taken with seriousness.
While Andrew Garfield said “never say never” on his involvement with the project, Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2, will actually be reprising his role in the movie. Since this establishes a connection between the Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man universe and the MCU, we might just end up getting surprised in the end.
