Ashton Kutcher is one of the most popular actors in all of Hollywood right now and has made a name for himself starring in various TV shows and movies, such as That ’70s Show and Two And A Half Men, among other things.
Ashton Kutcher also has a twin brother by the name of Michael. Back in 2003, Ashton Kutcher revealed to the world that his brother was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and it seems Michael Kutcher was very displeased with this brother’s action.
While speaking to Today, Michael Kutcher revealed that he was very angry with his brother for revealing his cerebral palsy to the world. Kutcher added that he never wanted to be the face of cerebral palsy.
I was very angry. Very angry. I remember speaking to him about it. I didn’t want to be the face of CP. I never talked about it.”
In the end, Michael forgave his brother Ashton Kutcher and now are on very good terms. In fact, his family calls Ashton Kutcher by his real name – Christopher. Kutcher ultimately did him a big favor. Michael Kutcher made use of his twin’s popularity and raised awareness for cerebral palsy and told his story.
“Chris did me the biggest favor he’s ever done because he allowed me to be myself.’
I realized I needed to let go of the shame I felt and be a champion for people [with severe disabilities. I was finally ready to tell my story and I knew because of my twin, I’d have a big reach.”
Michael now works as a spokesperson for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and is an advisor for the Joshin app. Joshin app provides help to find qualified caretakers for people with disabilities. Ashton Kutcher also had a lot of good things to say about his bother.
“My brother’s daily actions remind me that life isn’t about running around challenges — it’s about running through them. Mike has a relentless work ethic and a deep compassion for others.”
This is certainly a wonderful thing that Ashton Kutcher did for his brother as he helped Michael face himself and his problems and not be overtaken by them.
