Kevin Durant is undoubtedly one of the most popular basketball players in the world right now. The Brooklyn Nets star had previously won two championships with the Golden State Warriors and there is no doubt he will win more in the future.
However, Durant made it clear that he doesn’t play basketball for championships. Saturday’s game was the playoff debut for the Brooklyn Nets trio of James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. All three of them truly lived up to expectations as they scored a combined for 82 points that saw them easily defeat the Boston Celtics with the final score of 104-93.
However, the team managed to avoid a horrific incident that might have resulted in the injury of one of their key players. Kevin Durant almost avoided certain disaster during the game as Durant went up for a fast-break layup against Celtics’ guard Marcus Smart and it resulted in collision and saw Durant all and land all of his weight on his right arm.
Thankfully, Durant was unscathed and he managed to finish the game, with his final performance showing 32 points to go along with 12 rebounds, and 1 assist. Kevin Durant had a solid performance in the game and he will continue to play at the best of his ability and no one can change his efforts into improving his craft. We will have to see if Durant will carry on his impressive performance in future games.
