Kevin Spacey was the subject of #MeToo allegations from several people, and he was taken off a lot of projects. House Of Cards had to finish without him and many fans cancelled him. He could be making a comeback.
Spacey’s career was derailed by accusations of sexual harassment, but he is returning to the big screen. He is also in a film with very interesting subject matter. A report from The Telegraph says that Spacey is set to act in a movie about wrongly accusing a pedophile.
He is set to co-star alongside Vanessa Redgrave in a new move, directed by her French husband Franco Nero. Spacey’s character in this film called “The Man Who Drew God,” (translated from French) is about accusations of pedophilia against a blind artist.
Kevin Spacey faced a huge public backlash when Anthony Rapp accused him of making sexual advances toward him in the 1980s, back when the Rent actor was just 14. Other accusations quickly followed.
It appears that Kevin Spacey’s acting career isn’t over, because now he is in this new French film. The subject matter of this film is also rather unsettling.
We will have to see if this new role opens the door for Kevin Spacey’s return to acting. Odds are plenty of backlash will follow him from this point on.
